BBC boost for walkit.com

An article on the BBC News website brought a huge surge in traffic to the walking route planner set up by Waterloo-based social entrepreneur Jamie Wallace.

"We were absolutely delighted with the response to the coverage on the BBC website," says Jamie. "We had over 11,000 referrals in just a few hours. It's also been really heartening to receive the hundreds of pieces of feedback - people seem to see the huge potential of the service, despite the fact that we don't yet include every single footpath.
