Free watches, Santa School and SEOne

This post on the Search Engine Watch blog struck a chord here at Bankside Press.

We get lots of calls from people who think we're Tate Modern or the BA London Eye.

I had one the other day: "I have been told by Southwark Cathedral that you hold the baptismal records for the parish of St Saviour in the 1830s". They thought they were speaking to the local studies library.

The recent story about the Santa School at Southwark Cathedral has also generated several calls - including two calls from the London correspondent of a Beijing newspaper who took a lot of convincing that I wasn't the brother of the director of the Santa School...

And unfortunately the various 118 directory enquiries services are prone to giving out our number to people who ask for the SEOne Club.
