In the footsteps of JS Bach - sponsors needed

Later this month Rick Jones, who sings in the choir at Southwark Cathedral, is setting off on a 250-mile walk which retraces the steps the composer JS Bach took 300 years when he somewhat impetuously marched from Arnstadt in the former East Germany to Luebeck near Hamburg to hear the great organist Buxtehude play and to marry his daughter if she proved fit. He is going to complete the walk wearing frock coat, breeches and, of course, wig to attract maximum publicity. Rick aims to arrive in Luebeck on Saturday 8 October for a concert of Bach's and Buxtehude's music in the Marienkirche given by the present organist. Look out for Rick's account of his walk in a future edition of Classic FM magazine when I return. Rick is still looking for sponsorship in return for publicity on radio and in the article. If any readers are interested they can contact Rick by email.
