SE1 priest to run half-marathon

Days after the defrocking of Fr Neil Horan- who gained worldwide notoriety for his antics during the Athens Olympic marathon last year - at a meeting with the Archbishop of Southwark, the Most Revd Kevin McDonald, a member of the St George's Cathedral clergy has announced that he is to run a half-marathon in Watford.

Fr Addison Okpeh is taking part in the 13-mile run on Sunday 6 February to raise money for Aid to the Church in Need's work in Sudan, where nearly 3 million people have died and more than 4 million have fled from their homes, making the east African country home to the largest internally displaced population in the world.
