Turner Prize winner - the Southwark connection...
This just in from Southwark Cyclists:
Jeremy Deller won the 2004 Turner Prize and dedicated his award to cyclists. Part of his exhibition at Tate Britain was a memorial to a cyclist who was killed in 2003 by a drunk driver. Unusually, Deller asked Southwark Cyclists, as Tate Britain is in Westminster, to be involved in the exhibition and members were on hand to talk to visitors about cycling in London. The exhibition runs until 23rd December. Find out more about safe cycling in the borough - www.southwarkcyclists.org.uk - or call 07905 889 005.
