Word on the Street in Bankside

From today's TfL page in Metro:

The first is ‘Word on the Street’, a tour being given by Phil Baines and Catherine Dickson, authors and lecturers in typography at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design on June 20 (2pm - 4pm).

They will tell the story of lettering in the urban environment, looking at examples between Holborn and Bankside.

The other tour will be led by London’s Transport Museum Head Curator, Oliver Green, who will be looking at 1930s Underground architecture and design on June 22 (2pm - 4.30pm).

The ‘Piccadilly Style’ tour will go along the northern end of the Piccadilly line from Cockfosters finishing with a behind-the scenes visit to the Museum of Domestic Design and Architecture, where visitors can find out about 1930s suburban decor.

A Travelcard for zones 4 and 5 will be required. The cost for each tour is £10 or £8.50 concessions.
